German carmaker Volkswagen India is not in the mood to shut down its popular hatchback model Polo in the country. The carmaker recently hinted at a new generation of polo models that are currently under development. It could have launched in the Indian market in 2023.

During a recent Volkswagen event, Ashish Gupta, brand director of the carmaker in India. said the German auto giant is still expecting a seventh-generation Polo hatchback in the Indian market. The Polo hatchback is Volkswagen’s most popular in India. It has a top-selling model. It had sold 15,085 units last month. The Volkswagen Amio is the second best-selling model of the carmaker in India with sales of 4,729 units.

Engine Specification of 2021 Volkswagen’s Polo
